Research teams

The UMR DGIMI is composed of 4 research teams

The key themes of our unit are the interactions between crop pests and their associated communities of parasites and pathogens and the adaptation of these pests to their host plants. We work on models of Lepidoptera noctuidae of the genus Spodoptera.

The UMR DGIMI is composed of 4 research teams :

  • Two teams are interested in insect viruses, whether they are insect pathogens or mutualistic of parasitoid wasps.
    • integrative Biology of Host-Parasitoid interactions (B2iHP*)
    • Dynamics of Densovirus-Insect Interactions (DIDI*)
  • A team works on the interactions between entomopathogenic nematodes, their bacterial symbionts and their insect hosts
    • Integrative biology of Entomopathogenic Bacteria-Insects-Nematode Interactions (BIBINE*)
  • A team studies the mechanisms of adaptation of lepidopterans to their host plants.
    • Epigenetics, Holocentrism and Insect Adaptation (EHA*)
