Lecturer position for 2026

Lucturer postion in Nematology

12 January 2026

Université de Montpellier, campus sciences

A permanent lecturer position is likely to become available in 2026 at the University of Montpellier.

The classes, taught in French, cover eukaryotic microbiology (fungi, protists, parasites) in the Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and in the Master's degree in Biology and Health, with courses covering the interactions between eukaryotic microorganisms and their hosts, their molecular and cellular biology, their pathogenicity, and their ecological and functional diversity.

Candidates for the position may apply for different research profiles, including one in our research unit, UMR DGIMI. Our research profile concerns the cellular and molecular mechanisms used by entomopathogenic nematodes that underlie their association with their bacterial microbiota. The candidate will study these mechanisms by combining approaches involving the measurement of life history traits, microscopic histology, and genetic and -omic approaches.
